Films have been important to me ever since I started making stop motion shorts and animations. I like how films connect with their audiences and how every frame and shot marks the progress of a story experience.

After the short animation films, I began to learn editing and became confident in using basic software such as Movie Maker before moving onto using Adobe Premiere Pro. During high school and sixth form, I began making live action short films and practiced technical skills like special effects, drone cameras and using various audio backtracks; I filmed my friends’ sports matches to utilise this learning.

I studied many different types of film techniques whilst on Lincoln University’s Film Production degree course. During the three years of university, I learned about technical skills in filmmaking such as cinematography and editing, particularly as well as writing screenplays which has helped me write and direct my own short films all the way towards my graduation project. I graduated with First Class Honours for Film production.

After university, I continue to take part in any opportunities that arise whether the opportunities are from my connections, my peers or the film job market.
